1.5 Carat Orange Sapphire in 14K Yellow Gold and Platinum 1940s Mounting

We took one of our stones – which we purchased in Bangkok – and put it in a 1940’s mounting we’ve had forever. The stunning carat and a half oval cut natural orange sapphire is held in place by platinum prongs atop this beautiful, yet simple, 14k yellow gold band.

Sized to slightly under a 5, but can be sized.

Beautiful! This guy is made of 14k yellow gold, and has one round garnet measuring 5.05mm which weighs approximately half a carat. The larger, pear shaped garnet measures 6.8mm by 10.05mm and weighs roughly two carats.

The pin measures .75in in length from the bee’s nose to the point of the pear garnet. His wingspan is also .75in.

1940’s Vintage Diamond and Sapphire Ring in 18K

This ring is so interesting. The quality of the stones is exceptional, it’s obviously hand made, and our best guess is that this ring was made in the 1940’s. The center stone is a .25ct old round cut diamond (H-I in color, VS clarity). On each side of the diamond are beautiful old round cut sapphires, weighing a total of .60ct. The mounting is made of 18K white gold.

A stamped 14k white gold band with a gorgeous almond shaped head atop it. There are approximately 1.25ct of white diamonds arranged in a large three stone design, surrounded by smaller diamonds.
