A New (old) Ring for Heather
February 6, 2015 @ 1:39 pm
Heather’s a client of ours whom we’ve never met. She found us through our Etsy store and we’ve made three custom pieces for her. Here’s the latest.
Heather sent us a picture of this ring (below) and said “I found this online. I love the style. Could you do something similar in diamonds?” Of course we could.
Some people would call us hoarders — we prefer preservationists. We happened to have a lovely old Victorian bypass mounting kicking around the shop. We also happened to have two diamonds which would fit perfectly in the mounting. It was important to her that the diamonds be Old European cut, and these fit the bill.
The ring came back today, and boy is it stunning! A genuinely old mounting… with genuinely old diamonds… you’d never know the ring was put together in 2015.

Old European Cut Diamond with a Sapphire and Diamond Halo
December 3, 2014 @ 2:45 pm
Surrounded by a halo of sapphires and diamonds, an approximately quarter carat Old European Cut diamond is bezel set in 14K white gold. Three small diamonds go down the top of the shank, and the band itself is petite (2mm). Would make an excellent engagement ring; it sits low to the hand but has plenty of presence. Available on West End and online at Etsy.

We just wanted to share a few beautiful, petite stacking rings. A pair in 14K yellow gold: one with a large gray rose cut diamond, and one with a petite golden diamond. The other pair’s in 18K yellow gold: one with a large rose cut brown diamond, and the other with a large brown pear shaped diamond and a small golden round brilliant. Perfect for the lonely finger.
Just a few romantic necklaces…

The ideal gift for a big (or little?) anniversary, a gold necklace is a surefire way to say “I love you. Like, a lot.”

4.23 Carat Light Fancy Yellow Mine Cut Diamond
June 16, 2014 @ 10:06 pm
If you’re in the market for a large, exceptional stone, you’ve met your match. This diamond weighs 4.23 carats and is an Old Mine Cut (an old cut which predates the modern round brilliant). It’s a light fancy yellow color, and VS1 clarity (for the lay, that means clean as a whistle). It’s set in platinum and flanked by four diamonds weighing a collective .27ct. Total carat weight? A whopping 4 and a half carats. This ring is available by appointment only.
